Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") carefully before purchasing or attending The Design Session 04: The Hire-Ready Portfolio ("the Course"), operated by Satyam Dubey, doing business as @thedesignshop.tds ("we," "us," "our"). By enrolling in the Course, you ("you," "the participant") agree to be bound by these Terms.
This document is a draft template. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Please have it reviewed by a legal professional before publishing it on your website, particularly the refund, liability, and payment sections.
1. About the Course
The Course is a live, instructor-led cohort program delivered over 5 sessions via video call (currently Google Meet), supplemented by a WhatsApp community group, downloadable resources, and related materials. Session dates, times, and format are communicated to enrolled participants directly and may be subject to change with reasonable notice.
2. Eligibility
The Course is intended for adults (18 years or older) with a working interest in UI/UX or product design. By enrolling, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement.
3. Enrollment & Payment
- All payments are processed through Razorpay, a third-party payment gateway. We do not store your card, UPI, or banking details on our own systems.
- Enrollment is confirmed only after successful payment.
- Prices, seat availability, and any early-bird or promotional pricing are subject to change without notice for future batches. The price you paid for your batch is fixed once payment is confirmed.
4. Refund Policy
All payments made for the Course are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. This applies regardless of attendance, completion, or satisfaction with the Course.
By completing payment, you acknowledge and accept this no-refund policy.
5. Rescheduling & Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to reschedule a session, change the instructor, change the platform used for delivery, or in rare cases cancel a batch entirely, due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including but not limited to illness, technical failure, or insufficient enrollment). In the event we cancel a batch entirely before it begins, participants will be offered either a transfer to a future batch or a refund, at our discretion.
6. Participant Conduct
You agree to:
- Attend sessions respectfully and avoid disruptive, abusive, or harassing behavior toward the instructor or other participants, including in the WhatsApp community.
- Not record, redistribute, or resell session recordings, resource packs, or templates without our written permission.
- Use any templates, worksheets, or the Webflow template provided solely for your own personal portfolio, not for resale or redistribution.
We reserve the right to remove any participant from a session or the WhatsApp community for conduct that violates this section, without refund.
7. Intellectual Property
All course content — including but not limited to session materials, resource packs, worksheets, the Webflow template, and any recordings — remains the intellectual property of Satyam Dubey, trading as @thedesignshop.tds. Participants are granted a personal, non-transferable license to use these materials for their own portfolio and job search. Reproducing, teaching, or distributing this material as your own is not permitted.
8. No Guarantee of Outcome
The Course is designed to meaningfully improve your portfolio, interview readiness, and job search materials. We do not guarantee employment, interview calls, or any specific hiring outcome as a result of participating in the Course. Referrals mentioned as part of the Course (see Section 9) are discretionary and are not a guarantee of a job offer or interview.
9. Referral Program
Personal referrals to hiring contacts, where offered, are entirely at our discretion and subject to criteria communicated separately (including but not limited to portfolio review and demonstrated active job-search effort). A referral is not a guarantee of interview, hire, or any outcome with the receiving company. We are not responsible for the hiring decisions of any third-party company.
10. Third-Party Sessions (Guest Speakers)
Where a guest speaker (such as an HR professional) is included as part of the Course, their participation is subject to availability and may be rescheduled or substituted if they become unavailable. Views expressed by guest speakers are their own and not guaranteed to reflect the practices of their employer.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in the Course, including but not limited to loss of income, missed job opportunities, or technical issues on video call platforms outside our control.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued enrollment or participation after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
